Senate Bill 389 is to be heard in Committee on Monday Morning.  Please read the attachment on this email for more information.  This is a terrible bill. Please call or email Rep Gutwein This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  even if you have emailed or called him earlier.  We need to stop this bill. I know  every environmental organization is fighting this bill.  I am hearing that there may be an amendment on this bill. My thought is there is no amendment that is going to make this bill worth law.  Best to just let this bill die in Committee.  Please read Article regarding US projects to restore wetlands in articles below.  We the taxpayers will be paying to restore these wetlands and yet some of Indiana lawmakers want Senate Bill 389 to become law!
Here is the link to the Members of the House Environmental Committee-please read and if your Rep is on this Committee, please contact them before the meeting on Monday morning.  http://iga.in.gov/legislative/2021/committees/environmental_affairs_0700
Senate Bill 271  had passed Committee and now has been sent to Ways and Means due to House Rule 127.  As I have mentioned before I do have some reservations on this bill.
House Bill 1123 passed in Committee with amendments.  At this time, it is not scheduled for Second Reading.
http://iga.in.gov/legislative/2021/bills/house/1381    This bill would remove local control on a portion of the wind and solar farms.  It is not a good bill.  Each County should have the right to decide if they want the wind and solar farms.  It is not scheduled for a Hearing at this time but Committee on Utilities will meet March 25th.  My farm is very close to a wind farm. There are not birds as there were before the turbines. The hum of the blades is very loud at times and when mowing the barn lots and roadsides the shadows are very distracting.  Our Legislators will not be the ones working near them or at least most will not so I question why they should even want to take away any local control on this issue.
House Bill 1337
http://iga.in.gov/legislative/2021/bills/house/1337  Another bill that would infringe on local control!!! This bill is still in Committee.
House Bill 1190 This bill is still in Committee.  My intern checked IL and OH rules and I have included the links.  Overweight trucks can and are a safety concern.
